Obituary of Ryan Wayne Wallace
Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of Ryan Wayne Wallace. Ryan was born on July 1, 1999, in Lewisville, TX, and passed away on June 27, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Ryan was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing.
Ryan enjoyed sports when he was younger. He played baseball and soccer before discovering ice hockey. He played travel hockey for the Dallas Scots, McKinney Ice Hockey Club and the Texas Aces. Ryan graduated from Chisholm Trail High School in 2017. A driven and independent spirit, Ryan carved his own path. He was a quick learner and a hard worker at a variety of jobs during and after high school - he was a sneakerhead and loved refurbishing tennis shoes and selling them, he performed aftermarket upgrades on cars and trucks, he learned how to work on Jeeps and get them ready for offroading, and he managed several fast food restaurants including McDonald's, Taco Bell, and Whataburger. He enjoyed wheeling with his friends and family and developed an interest in motorcycles over the past couple of years.
Ryan had a quick sense of humor and a mischievous smile. He had a big heart and would help his friends at the drop of a hat. Ryan elected to be an organ donor. In a final, heroic act, he made a selfless gift that will save many lives as his heart, liver, and kidneys were successfully transplanted.
Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather Bobby Wallace, his grandmothers Wesley Hathaway and Sandra McCoy. He is survived by his mother Carrie McCoy (husband Rance); his father Steve Wallace (wife Michelle); his siblings Paige Wallace, Ransom McCoy and Mira McCoy; his grandparents Marilynn Stewart (husband David), Richard Van Zandt, and Linda Wallace along with many loving aunts, uncles and cousins..
A celebration of life for Ryan will be held at The Rail Club located at 3101 Joyce Dr, Fort Worth, TX, 76116 on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 12pm - 2pm.
