Obituary of Carolina G. Reyna
Carolina Gonzales Reyna was born on April 30, 1941, in Hondo, Texas, to Petra Peres Gonzales and Natividad Gonzales. Raised with love and strong values by her parents, Carolina began her life journey rooted in family and faith.
At the young age of 16, Carolina married Ramiro R. Morin, beginning a new chapter as a devoted wife and soon, a loving mother. She welcomed her first daughter, Thelma, a couple of years after their marriage, followed by Dorothy Ann a couple of years later. After the birth of their second child, the family moved to Victoria, Texas, where Ramiro pursued work in the aerospace industry. After the family settled in Victoria, they welcomed their third daughter, Irma Leticia.
In 1967, the family relocated to Fort Worth, where Carolina’s compassion and dedication led her to a fulfilling career in healthcare. She began her journey at Osteopathic Hospital as a phlebotomist, where her professionalism and genuine care for patients quickly stood out. Although she once dreamed of becoming an X-ray technician, raising her three daughters became her first priority.
Carolina’s talents were recognized by Dr. Kutach, who invited her to join his private practice as a medical assistant. She later took on the role of office manager, where her leadership and kindness continued to shine. She remained a valued member of the clinic through its transitions under Dr. Glidden and later Dr. Hulse, each of whom deeply admired her dedication to patient care. Though Dr. Hulse encouraged her to stay, Carolina made the decision to retire in 1995, ready to enjoy a new chapter in life.
After retirement, Carolina embraced travel and visits with family. She later moved to San Antonio to care for her beloved mother, Petra only to discover her mother’s vibrant social life of shopping, dinners, and parties! After several years, Carolina returned to Fort Worth, where she spent her remaining years surrounded by her loved ones.
Carolina was the proud mother of three daughters, Thelma, Dorothy, and Letty, and her heart overflowed with love for her five grandsons: Eric, Gabriel, Marc, and Thomas; five great-grandsons: Elia, Christian, Daniel, Xander, and Aiden; and two great-granddaughters: Ahmaris and Abree. Her furry companions, her shih tzu, Pepe; Maltese, Zoe; and miniature pit bulls, Duke, Zeus, and Kane were also an important part of her life.
Carolina found joy in the simple pleasures: watching movies on her 70” TV, walking her dogs twice a day, and chatting with her neighbors. She loved family dinners, attending the occasional play, and participating in board games, card games, and her favorite, BINGO. Her competitive spirit was always present, not for the win, but to show she still had it. Handy and resourceful, no home project was too big for her. Her garden flourished under her care, as did the lives of those who knew her.
With a vibrant personality, infectious laughter, and an unshakable sense of humor, Carolina lived her life fully and joyfully. She was strong, compassionate, and resilient—a true trooper until the very end.
Carolina’s love, warmth, and laughter will live on through her family and friends. As we say goodbye, we remember her words: It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later.
