
Obituary of Kimberly Ann Kingsbury
Tears cannot express our loss as we announce the passing of Kimberly Ann Kingsbury to her heavenly home on June 12th, 2025. Kimberly was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on May 4th , , 1965. She was currently residing in Crowley, Texas.
She enjoyed playing softball as a kid and was the star pitcher on the women’s team she was on. She enjoyed watching all kinds of sports with Hockey being her favorite. She was also fascinated by murder mysteries both novels and shows.
She began her service to our country at age 17 and served in both the Army and the Navy. While in the military she completed her bachelor’s degree and an MBA. She retired from the Navy after 26 years of service.
Faith provided the framework for the way she lived her life, and her dedication to the churches where she attended made her a part of the vital framework of those communities
Throughout her life she had a desire to always be learning new things and taking on new challenges. She finished her course of training to become a Community of Hope International Lay minister only a few months ago.
She cared deeply for and supported wounded warriors and prisoners of war. She had a heart to stand with those who were down trodden or oppressed. And she had a deep love for all animals most clearly witnessed in her care for the Pomeranians she shared her life with: Sammy, Chief, and Teddy.
She was fiercely loyal and protective of those she loved. She would give the shirt off her back if she thought it would help another person. Offering her home to those in need time and time again. She had a gift in understanding people and bringing out the best in them.
She married Melanie Wright on October 3, 2015. They were inseparable in life and love and service to others.
She was preceded in death by her nephew, Tanner Wilmeth and her parents, Beverly Winston and Robert Kingsbury. She is survived by her spouse, Melanie Wright Kingsbury, and her two sisters, Kathy Townley Melendez (and Jose), Kelly Cederstrom (and Greg). She is also survived by her nephews Robert Cederstrom, Eric Cederstrom and Ian Cederstrom. She was loved and survived by Melanie’s children, Aidan Wright (and Z Roman), Naomi Wright, and Macrina Wright
Kimberly’s Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 10:00am at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church meeting at 5709 Wedgwood Dr, Fort Worth, Texas Her ashes will be interred at a later date. A “Celebration of Life” reception will follow in the parish hall to which everyone is invited.
