Please share a memory of Janet to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Janet A. Donchess, 91, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Vitas Hospice Center in Fort Worth, Texas with her daughters at her bedside. Janet was born on August 27, 1933, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ambrose and Millicent Johnson.

Janet enjoyed her high school years playing on the girls’ softball team at Wilson High School. After graduating from Youngstown State University, she worked in a secretarial position at Truscon Steel Company. She then worked for IBM for many years before retiring.

Janet was a member of the St. Dominic Catholic Church in Youngstown, Ohio where she married Eugene Magrini and Baptized her daughters.

An avid bowler, Janet was in a women’s bowling league at Wedgwood Lanes in Austintown, Ohio for over 15 years. She also enjoyed ceramic classes as evidenced by numerous decorations throughout the house, especially the lighted Christmas trees during the holiday season.

Anyone who knew Jan can attest to her love for children and animals. Growing up we always had an abundance of pets in the house.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Kimberly (John) Bair of Golden, Colorado; Sheila (Joseph)Morocco of Fort Worth, Texas; stepson Shawn (Lizbeth) Magrini of Salem, Ohio; grandchildren, Julian Morocco, Jessica (Frank) Colaprete, Kristy (Chris) Magrini-Hunt; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Noelani (Kristi), Dominic, Adriana, and Gia (Jessica).

She was preceded in death by her former husbands, Eugene Magrini, and Norman Donchess, as well as her beloved granddaughter, Mary Catherine Morocco.

While we are deeply saddened by the loss of our precious mother; we are comforted by our Catholic Faith and knowing that she is resting in peace with our Lord and Savior and all our loved ones gone before her.

Family and Friends may call at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20th at Saint Dominic Church with a Mass to follow at 2:00 p.m.

She will be laid to rest at Forrest Lawn Memorial Park with her spouse Norman and her parents
