Obituary of Phillip Ray Higbee

Please share a memory of Phillip to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Phillip Ray Higbee, 77, passed away on May 16, 2025.

Born on May 10, 1948, in Norman, Oklahoma, Phil was the son of Hill and Dorothy Higbee. He graduated from Norman High School in 1966 and went on to attend the University of Oklahoma. A gifted salesman with a larger-than-life personality, Phil enjoyed a successful career in sales and eventually owned his own company, Philco. After retiring, he continued sharing his enthusiasm for people as a sampler at Costco, one of his favorite roles because it allowed him to do what he loved most: interact with others.

Phil had an incredible memory and never forgot a face. Outgoing, friendly, and full of life, he was a true people person. He deeply valued time with his family and loved watching OU Football and the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hill and Dorothy Higbee, and his brother, David Higbee.

Phil is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Higbee; sons, Christopher Higbee and wife Rachel, and Nathan Higbee and wife Deanene; grandsons, Garrett Higbee and Joey Higbee; brother, Jim Higbee; sister-in-law, Evie Higbee; and a longtime family friend considered a "bonus son", Ralph May.

Phil will be remembered for his warmth, joyful spirit, and the light he brought to every room he entered.
