
Obituary of Verna Raye Lee
Verna Lee passed away on April 10th, 2025 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on September 27th, 1947 in Harrisonville, Missouri and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico as a child where she graduated high school at Sandia High School and then went on to work for the University of New Mexico Hospital.
Verna moved to Modesto, California in 1991 working as an office manager for neurosurgeon, Dr. Lee Kesterson, for five years and then moved to Fort Worth to be with family where she worked at the Center for Neurological Disorders until she retired.
Her pride and joy was her son and his success. She enjoyed country western dancing, live music, watching old TV shows, and spending time with her family.
Verna will be missed by family and friends. Verna will leave a void in the hearts of her loved ones and all who knew her. Verna touched so many lives and was always there to help someone in need. Her generosity and kindness to others was her most beloved trait. Verna was a devoted daughter who helped and supported her mother during her toughest times. Family was of the utmost importance to her.
Verna is preceded in death by her mother, Eulalia Lee, father, Vernon (Pete) Lee, her sister Eula’s husband Roger and her brother, Danny Lee.
Verna (Sis as she was called) is survived by her son Jeff and his wife Kirsten and her three grandchildren, Blake, Brandon and Brooklyn, her two sisters Eula and Brenda and her husband Lou; her two brothers, Bob, his wife Laura and Randy and his wife Sally.
Relatives and friends are invited to Verna’s memorial service on Friday May 9th, at 1:00 pm at Thompson & Son Cremation & Funeral Home located at 6009 Wedgwood Drive Fort Worth, TX 76133
