Obituary of Andrew Dwain Pennington

Please share a memory of Andrew to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On April 8, 2025 the beloved son of Randy and Shirley Pennington departed this earth in the presence of his family.

Along with his devoted parents, Andrew is survived by his loving sister, Amanda Pennington; children Angel and Jade; girlfriend Bianca Brown; Nephew Jacob; Nieces Rosa, Sara and Chloe; Great Nephews Augustine and Zaelyn; Godfather Stephen Algiene and Godmother/Grandmother Edna Arellano and  Grandmother Jerry Fuller.Numerous aunts/uncle’s, cousins, and  friends.

Andrew was preceded  in death by his dearest sister, Alicia.

Andrew lived a vibrant, carefree life, and still had so much ahead of him. He was taken far too soon. Despite this tragedy.

Andrew’s greatest joy was spending any time with his son, Angel, and his daughter, Jade.

Andrew’s family cherishes the memories they had during their time together.

Andrew adored his parents and thoroughly enjoyed talking/hanging out with them alone or together. To his dad, Randy, he was his work/fishing/billiards buddy; and, to his mom, Shirley, he was her sweetheart of a son and her support at home. Andrew enjoyed teasing especially his mama who looked forward to their quiet times as they enjoyed watching late night TV shows.

Andrew considered his sister, Amanda, his best of friends. They were each other’s confidants and they had one another’s shoulders to cry on. He looked forward to their special moments: movie/dinner dates, especially to their deep discussions about their lives.

Andrew loved his large family and they, in turn, loved him. and often joined them in their competitive weekly card/bowling games and various family holiday/ celebrations.Andrew lit up every room he entered with his bright smile, his contagious laughter, his unique sense of humor and his booming voice. Andrew began to catch a glimpse of his life‘s purpose - to love, to be loved, and to be of service to God through the helping of others.   Affectionately addressed as Uncle Drew by his nieces, nephew and great nephews - he would do anything humanly possible with and for them.

We could not have asked for a better son, Godson, brother, uncle, cousin, grandson, nephew, friend, and neighbor, etc.

Fly with the angels, our dearest Andrew. Say hello to ALL of our loved ones, especially to your sweet sister, Alicia. May God‘s Perpetual Light shine upon you and may you finally Rest in the Peace of God until we meet again.

Please join us in the celebration of Andrew‘s life at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 7421 Glenview Drive in Richland Hills on Saturday, May 31 at 12:00 PM.
