Obituary of Barbara Jean Williams
Barbara Jean was born on August 31, 1930, and passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025. Barbara Jean was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. At 19 years old she married the love of her life, John Williams, a USAF pilot - and the adventure began! Together they traveled extensively and lived all around the world, from New York to Texas, to across the pond in Lakenheath, England. Through the years, they welcomed four daughters. In 1966 Fort Worth became the family’s permanent home after John’s retirement as a Lt. Colonel. During the process of searching for their new family home, Barbara fell in love with real estate. This led to a successful career as a real estate agent for over 30 years. She was a welcomed member of the Republican Woman’s Club, Fort Worth Board of Realtors, Toastmistress Club and volunteered at First United Methodist Church-First Street Mission. Barbara was known for her outgoing and vivacious personality; she had a zest for life and a passion for traveling. She loved learning about cultures, languages and the local cuisine of the places she traveled. Barbara was a beloved grandmother to eight grandkids. Many fondly remember swimming in her pool, egg hunts in her backyard, and the numerous trips to local children’s museums. She had a wonderful laugh and a passion for enjoying life - she will be deeply missed.
