
Obituary of Judith Ann Vaughn
Judith Ann Vaughn, 77, went to paradise to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 18, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born to Harrison and Lucille Grantham in Amarillo, Texas on March 10,1947. Judith was known for her unwavering faith, deep love for her family, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met.
She met her husband Ollie Vaughn Jr in Omaha, Nebraska and the two wed in September of 1986 and cherished each other every day after. They would go on to raise six beautiful children and numerous grandchildren. Judith had a zest for life and a heart full of love. She found joy in gardening, nurturing beautiful blooms that mirrored her vibrant spirit. Her passion for exploring garage sales and having them brought her not just treasured finds but cherished connections with people along the way. She delighted in the melodies of her beloved gospel music and was happiest when surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Judith treasured time spent with her neighbors and friends, sharing laughter and love over a cold Dr Pepper. In her quiet moments, she found comfort watching her favorite western shows with her husband, reliving the golden days of simpler times.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Ollie Vaughn Jr., and her beloved children: Melinda Archuleta (John), Johnnie Catherine Passmore, Lorraine Passmore, Janet Passmore, Deanna Weatherspoon (Gary), and Steven Passmore. She also leaves behind her adored brother, Harrison Grantham, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who were blessed by her love and wisdom.
Judith is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Kenneth Grantham and Fred Grantham, her sisters Edna Norris and Dorothy Woods, and her first child, whose memory she carried lovingly in her heart.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, Martin Thompson & Son Chapel, 6009 Wedgwood Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76133.
Celebration of Her Life: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Martin Thompson & Son Chapel.
Interment: A graveside service will be held afterwards for the family.
