James Lee Waller, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and hardworking crane operator, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 66. Originally from East Texas, James built a life defined by dedication, love, and unwavering strength.
For over 40 years, he was a proud union crane operator, known for his skill, reliability, and commitment to his work. His hands helped shape the skyline, but his heart was always with his family.
James married the love of his life, Kay, and together they built a family filled with laughter and love. He was a proud father to three sons—Matthew, Jacob, and Dillon—who each carry forward his values of hard work and integrity. His greatest joy in later years came from being a grandfather to Brooke and Hudson, whom he adored beyond words.
James will be remembered for his kindness, strong work ethic, and the way he could light up a room with his humor and warmth. He leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and deep devotion to his family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, March 7th at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76133.
