Obituary of Gary Lee Spesard

Today we would like to announce the passing of Gary Lee Spesard on Feb 11, 2025. Gary married his wife Bari and began to build a wonderful and amazing life with 5 children and many friends along the way.

 

His professional career started as part of the engineering department at CASH ACME in Decatur, IL, then purchased a commercial printing company in the Pacific Northwest which propelled him into a wonderful career in the printing industry retiring as a Imaging Manager for Quad Graphics Corporation in 2012.

 

His love of learning made him a multi-faceted man with many talents…. skilled at photography, digital imagery and print technology. He was a lifelong sailor for family pleasure and avid blue water sailor competing in multihull racing on Chesapeake Bay. In his retirement years, he sailed down the ICW to Florida and to the Bahamas, moved to the Northwest planning to motor his trawler from home near Everett to Alaska.

 

As he continues on his journey, Gary is survived by his wife Bari, 5 children: Cary Scott Bryson, Lisa Spesard, Grant Spesard, Drew Spesard, and Aaron Spesard.  He is survived by his sister Teresa Smyers.
