It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daphne Rae O’Neal, who left this world on April 29, 2024. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, nurse, and friend to many.

Daphne Rae O’Neal was born on August 12, 1957, in Midland, Texas to Dorthy Ann Dixson and Wallace Dixson and grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. She attended Arlington Heights High School and went on to have a successful career in Nursing for 30 years. She was known for her kind and loving disposition and her ability to make anyone smile at any given time.

She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother, always putting her family first and creating countless cherished memories with them. Her grandchildren were her absolute pride and joy!

In her free time, Daphne enjoyed traveling, swimming, or doing anything that involved her daughter and grandkids. She was known for her love of, God, family, and dogs (especially her very own dog, Mia). She will be remembered for her bright smile, sense of humor, and unwavering love for her family and friends.

Daphne Rae Dixson is survived by Meredith Lauren Richards (Son-in-law Taylor M. Richards), 4 grandchildren, and her sister Dottie Wellman and niece Courtney Holt. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Daphne Rae O’Neal’s life will be held on May 9th, 2024, 2pm at Martin Thompson and Sons funeral home.

May she rest in peace with her Lord and Savior, and may her memory live on in the hearts of those she loved and cared for.
