We hadn't seen each other for many years, but the memories are many and treasured. Family Christmas in Santa Rosa has always been one of my favorite childhood memories. We has so many good times at the Bar Y, and the ranch at Watrous. John even came to Oregon one summer, hauling horses and we spent a week riding together. He helped me haul cutting horses to California one year, I believe it was 1985. We had lots of time to talk and tell stories. One fall, I was in Albuquerque between jobs. We spent a lot of time together then. He went with me to the NMQHA Convention, we took the tram up Sandia Peak, I went on some of his horseshoeing jobs with him. It was a wonderful time. We were at Texas Tech at the same time. Always busy with classes and activities, but it was fun to see each other on campus and occasionally get together for a meal. He was always cheerful and fun to be around. My deepest condolences on your loss. He will be missed.
