Please share a memory of Patsy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Patsy Kelly Collins Little passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 16th, 2020, surrounded by her family into the waiting arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Patsy was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on December 2, 1931. She moved to her beloved state of Texas at the age of 8 and never left again. She loved all things Texas, elephants, the Republican Party, and Southcliff Baptist Church. She married her love, Hurschel, on May 5, 1951. Together, they raised one precocious daughter, Cynthia Kae and two rambunctious boys, James Mark and Thomas Randall. Her family was the twinkle in her eye. After Hurschel’s death, God blessed her with the love of John Little and his family. Then came the true loves of her life - her grandchildren: Carson, Alex, Anne-Claire, Cal, Maddie, Noah and Sophie, and great grandchild, Mary Caroline. Oh, what joy they brought to her and she to them! Each one never had to doubt who was the favorite…. and they would all say, “It’s me!" That’s how special she made each one feel. She followed their lives closely and many times they shared pizza at their favorite pizza restaurant. She was an avid supporter of each kids outside activities and tried to attend baseball, football , dance activities as much as possible.
Patsy had many other facets. She served as a top Real Estate Professional for 40 years She built her business on the fundamental basis of treating her customers as her family and her own personal love of home. This love of her own home helped her to connect with her customers on a personal level. Her integrity was also part of the reason she was successful in the real estate business. She was quick-witted ( even to the end of her life) and played a mean game of Scrabble, Words with Friends, Mexican Train, and Hand and Foot. As kids and grownups, we played many games with mom, most times she won every game. She adored her Never Alone widow's ministry group dearly! They brought her a ray of sunshine, and she had many good friends in this group. The Never Alone ministry group met each Friday evening for dinner and then the group played games at Southcliff.
Most importantly, she loved her Lord God and Savior. She was bold about spreading God’s Word and asked each person who visited if they knew Jesus. Her mission in life was to reach as many people as possible informing them of the Greatness of Jesus Christ. In her honor, we ask, “Do you know Jesus?" We know that during the very end of her life while in hospice she was convinced that God gave her those extra days to tell as many folks as possible about Jesus. We witnessed her many times asking if her caregiver knew Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eva Lorena Kelly and Noah Clifford Kelly, her beloved Hurschel Collins and darling, John Little. She is survived by her children: Cynthia Kae May (Jon), James Mark Collins (Ana), Thomas Randall Collins (Jennifer) and grandchildren Carson Collins, Alex Collins (Lauren), Anne-Claire Nichols (Kip and Mary Caroline), Cal May, Maddie May, Noah Collins, and Sophie Collins.
