Wallace Snell Craig, Jr. of Parker County, Texas made his transition on February 22, 2017 surrounded by family and friends. Service: Services will be conducted at the Unity Church in Grapevine on Saturday, February 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm. He was born March 15, 1929 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to Wallace Snell Craig, Sr., and Sallie Byrn Craig. Wallace was a kind, gentle and loving man with a gruff exterior. He enjoyed travel with family and friends, along with flying, sailing, motorcycles and motorhomes. Wallace was orphaned as a teenager and thereafter lived independently in the family home until completing high school. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville while working as a radio dispatcher for the Tennessee Highway Patrol. After law school, he served a four year period in the United States Air Force as an officer in the Judge Advocate General Corp. After his military service, he attended and graduated from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a Masters in Business Administration in 1960. Shortly thereafter he began practicing law in Fort Worth, Texas and practiced in the metroplex area until his retirement in 2000. Wallace was Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law and Civil Trial Law in 1978 and was certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Trial Advocate. He was a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Tennessee, the College of the State Bar of Texas, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and was a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Texas Trial Lawyers Association for over twenty years, and was past President and Director of the Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association. Memorials: The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation be made to the Unity Church of Grapevine, 1650 Hughes Road, Grapevine, Texas 75051, where he and Faye were active members. Survivors: Wallace is survived by wife of forty nine years, Faye Craig; daughter Rhea Scott Follett and husband, Jim; son Wayne Winn, Jr. and wife, Docia; grandchildren Dr. Austin Follett, Hunter Follett and wife, Amanda, and Dr. Chandler Follett; brother in law, George Campbell; and many nieces and nephews.
