Gregory Joseph Antoine passed away on Sunday, December 3rd, 2017, at the age of 59, in Arlington, TX, surrounded by his wife, children, siblings, and friends.

Service: 8:30 a.m. Thursday, December 7, at Emmanuel Christian Church, 615 College Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104.

Visitation: 7 - 8:30 a.m. Thursday, December 7, at the Church.

Interment: 11:15 a.m. Thursday, December 7, at the Dallas-Fort Worth, National Cemetery.

Mr. Antoine was born on September 16, 1958, in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Mr. Antoine was a member of both Emmanuel Christian Fellowship and Good News World of Fort Worth, TX.

Petty Officer First Class Antoine, was honorably discharged in January of 1982 from the United States Navy after six years of active duty. He immediately joined the Navy reserves and served there until 1986. While serving in the navy, Petty Officer Antoine was an electronic technician, a fire control technician, and a radar control technician. He received several medals and decorations, some of which include a Good Conduct Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and Battle Efficiency Award.  

Mr. Antoine received a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in December of 1986, and a Master’s degree in Business and Telecommunications from the University of Dallas in December of 1992.

Mr. Antoine was an employee at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, most notably as a Deputy Manager over the F-22 program. He received the Black Engineer of the Year award in both 2004 and 2007. He retired in December of 2015 after twenty-seven years of service.

Mr. Antoine was a Special Olympics coach for twelve years, a certified short wave radio technician for fourteen years, and a certified basketball referee for four years. He went on mission trips to Israel in 2015 and to Columbia in 2016, and volunteered at numerous food drives. He loved fellowshipping with family and friends, baking sweet potato pies, and loving his wife of 31 years.

Mr. Antoine leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Parthenia Elaine Antoine of Fort Worth, TX; two sons, David Michael Antoine of Fort Worth, TX, and Daniel Stephen Antoine of Fort Worth, TX; two daughters, Christine Elaine Antoine of Dallas, TX, and Angela Joy Antoine of Waxahachie, TX; two brothers, Edward Antoine (Linda) of Katy, TX, and Lloyd Antoine of Baton Rouge, LA; three sisters, Sandra Johnson (Larry) of Rowlett, TX, Carolyn Polk of Fort Worth, TX, and Elizabeth James (Sterling) of Sacramento, CA.

He was preceded in death by his father Edward Raymond Antoine, Sr., and his mother Christine Segura Antoine of New Iberia, LA.
